Dan brings to Forge 15 years of corporate finance and advisory experience with seven of those years dedicated to the oil and gas industry where he led numerous financing and advisory transactions. Dan is a hands-on leader with the ability to focus on the detailed analytics while emphasizing the broader strategic scope and direction. He complements the collective effort of the Forge team by applying his base of strategic insight and financial acumen to help optimize value and returns through a disciplined risk profile.
Prior to joining Forge, Dan was an investment banker in J.P. Morgan's Oil & Gas group, where he focused his efforts in the upstream sector. In this role he was responsible for maintaining relationships and strategic dialogue with senior oil and gas executives and sourcing and executing advisory and financing transactions. He worked with publicly traded independents and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on mergers and acquisitions and asset acquisition and divestiture assignments as well as the full array of financings including bank financings, term loans, high yield debt, high grade debt, equity-linked and follow-on common stock and initial public offerings. Over his tenure, Dan executed transactions totaling greater than $15 billion where J.P. Morgan served as the lead advisor or underwriter. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Dan worked as a M&A advisor for Waterview Advisors and Citigroup Capital Strategies as well as a valuation consultant for Ernst & Young.
Dan holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelors of Business Administration in finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
